Osea Skincare Studio

I have finally gotten the time to try a Osea facial! It is such a cute spot on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach, California. I entered the studio for my appointment and was offered water or tea. I chose some water and was shown to the back sitting area. Which was such a peaceful area to say the least. (You can see more photos below.) My esthetician came to the waiting area to take me to the treatment room. I changed into a gown which had some weight to it!  It was actually nice once I laid down. It felt a bit like a weighted blanket.

I chose the 80 minute facial, which based on your skin goals includes, lymphatic drainage massage, a high frequency wand, &  light therapy. The facial started with a mist that was sprayed from higher up, so it felt like it was falling from the sky. It was magical. Honestly, it was one of my favourite parts of the treatment.  After cleansing and steaming, my skin was exfoliated with an ultrasonic skin scrubber. Later extractions were done followed by a high frequency wand, which kills bacteria. I also appreciate that my neck was included in the extraction part, as sometimes you have to pay extra for that. Then a mask was put on. As the mask was on my face I received a gentle massage on my arms, shoulders, and neck. Some craniosacral techniques where used on the neck. Craniosacral is one of my favourite ways to relax. I was excited when I found out that there would be a little bit of it included in the treatment. Then finally a blue light was used. Followed by a moisturizer to wrap up my facial.

I felt very rejuvenated after my treatment. My esthetician Christina, was so lovely!  She kept it real with me and didn’t push any products on me. She gave great recommendations and actually told me to keep my routine simple based on my skin type. It was refreshing to hear that.

My skin looked great afterwards and it continued to improve as time went on.

The facial was $200. You also receive a $25 store credit to use towards products. The downside is the credit has to be used that day. I ended up getting the ocean cleanser.

Sidenote: If you are unsure what facial to get, you can book a 50 minute facial and once you discuss your skin concerns with your esthetician you can always upgrade if you would like.
